erlang-base-hipe software package provides Erlang/OTP HiPE enabled virtual machine and base applications, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install erlang-base-hipe
erlang-base-hipe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the erlang-base-hipe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep erlang-base-hipe *
You will get with erlang-base-hipe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
